Wonder Works Field Trip

By Emily M. , Emma S., and Mary B.

On Monday, December 14, the kindergarteners went to a children’s museum called Wonder Works. This is a hands-on environment that lets children not only build on their imagination, but build on their social skills with other children from different classes. Wonder Works has puzzles, games, and activities for younger children. They liked playing in the tree houses and tents. The kindergarten also enjoyed dressing up and going on the stage! They had almost 80 children together on the field trip.

Ms. Zielenski's Class

By Emma S.

Ms. Zielinski’s class learned about different kinds of apples, earlier in the year. The most popular type was the red apple. In December, the class learned about types of cookies. The class had a taste test and voted for which cookie they liked best. The two highest-scoring cookies were Oreos and gingerbread men.The students enjoy playing in their classroom’s dramatic play area. In December, their play area was set up as a bakery. Currently, the play area is a clothes store. Recently, they have started learning about clothes. They now know about hats, mittens, and other clothing items that people use to keep warm. Ms. Zielinski’s class seems to be having a fun time learning at school.
