Camping!!!

The kindergarteners went camping inside their classroom in March. They had lots of fun. Maggie R. said, “ I liked when we had free choice time and I played in the tent.” Kindergarteners love camping!

Kindergarten Fun

Kindergarteners do many fun things. Everyone in Kindergarten loves school. This is the students last year as Kindergarteners. Colin has many things he loves about Kindergarten. He loves to play with his friends. What he likes most about his classroom is all the toys they can play with. He likes how Mrs. Landau is always willing to help him. Colin is very excited about going into 1st grade and being an older kid but he said he will miss Kindergarten and all that it has to offer.

Kindergarten Shopping

Mrs. Bernstein’s P.M. class won Math Con! They worked very hard to win! They decided to use part of the money to buy groceries to give to the less fortunate. They went to the Villager Grocery Store. They bought foods like macaroni & cheese and soup. Mrs. Bernstein’s P.M. class is very generous!

Bunny Club

Ms. Zielinski has an after school program called Bunny Club since she has two bunnies named Gracie and Honey. Gracie is a little more aggressive than Honey but she is still a nice bunny. Honey is a very friendly bunny. If you are in 2nd grade or older then you can be in Bunny Club. You have to feed, groom, clean their cage, and you get to play with them. You get to groom them and take them out of their cage. If you like animals, especially bunnies, then Bunny Club is a great club for you to join. You can join by asking Ms. Zielinski in room 102.

Rainbows in Ms. Zielinski's Room

Ms. Zielinski’s early childhood class made beautiful rainbows two weeks ago and they still look good. They used watercolors. Every rainbow is different.

Guest Reader

Ms. Bernstein’s son came in to her class as a guest reader. Ms. Bernstein’s son’s name is Graham. Chloe G. enjoyed listening to Graham read because she knew that he really wanted the class to be very happy and enjoy the reading. Graham read Lazy Little Loafers by Susan Orlean. She loved the book so much. Chloe wants Graham to come back and read again because it was nice of him to read for her classroom. Overall, Chloe liked Graham coming in to read for the class.

Math Con

Kindergarteners loved Math Con! Math Con is a fun, yearly competition where kids complete worksheets and get tickets, which are put in a raffle for prizes. Skyla A. and Olivia P. told us how much fun they had with Math Con! Skyla told us her favorite part of Math Con was when they did the challenges. Olivia told us her favorite problem was the one about the car, because it was fun. We asked her what she learned, and she replied, “I learned my letters.” Math Con is a great way to get kindergarteners loving math!
